Cellular networks, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and NFC all create pathways for a seized device to be remotely accessed, wiped or altered after it leaves a suspect’s hands. Without proper signal isolation, evidence that was perfectly intact at the point of seizure can be compromised before it ever reaches a laboratory.
